Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Using Giftmates

Giftmates lets you share wishlists with friends and family and quietly claim gifts. By signing in you agree to these terms. You must be able to form a binding agreement in your country to use the service.

Your content

You are responsible for what you add, including item names, links and notes. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive or misleading, and do not add links to malicious or deceptive sites. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.

Groups and visibility

Joining a gift group lets every member see your whole wishlist, even if it is otherwise private, and lets you see theirs. Invite links can be forwarded, so only share them with people you trust. Group admins can remove members and replace or revoke invite links.

Claims

Marking an item as "I'm buying this" is a coordination aid. It is not a purchase, a reservation with a retailer, or a guarantee that a gift will be bought or delivered. Giftmates does not sell goods and is not a party to any purchase.

Third-party links

Wishlist items may link to other websites. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

Service availability and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data. We may change or discontinue the service.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
